Preventive PT

Many people who can afford or who have health insurance coverage have become regular with health check ups. We all know these tests include many things but not much of this directly relates to physical assessment. When anyone develops slow onset knee arthritic pain or low back pain we must understand that we have missed out on that preventive phase where well regulated physical activity may have delayed the onset if not completely prevented it. Physical Health though related to general physiological and other health parameters, is on it's own a big challenge to be maintained. Visit your Physio for timely assessment if you see any changes in your physical abilities or if you have any kind of pain. Visiting your PT for an ultrasound therapy after you are already on a pain killer medication and expecting miracles when you have already booked a knee/ spine surgery date is exactly the way some of our cities letting pollution to reach it's peak before looking for solutions.
